Location:
I-10 West from La Cantera Pkwy. to Dominion Dr.
Description: This project
will reconstruct the I-10 overpasses at Camp Bullis Rd., which is necessary due to
clearance issues. This project will also construct turnarounds at Camp
Bullis Rd., construct a new exit ramp for Dominion Dr., and will
convert the access roads to one-way operation from Camp Bullis Rd. to the new Dominion
Dr. overpass, which will improve operation and safety. This project will
not add any additional mainlanes on I-10. Purpose: Traffic
volumes in the Camp Bullis Rd. intersections have increased
recently due to The Rim shopping center and Oak Hills Church, as well as
new residential development along the western side of I-10. This project will
improve operation and safety at the I-10/Camp Bullis intersections and on
the access roads north of there and also provide the foundation for
future expansions of I-10.
Timeline: Construction
started in January 2008 and is scheduled to be completed in the 3rd
quarter of 2010. Click
